Hi I'm Kat!
I'm Kat, mum of 6 children. I know crazy right! But it means I have a lot of experience with children, two of them are SEN children too so I'm pretty clued up on being able to handle children with extra needs.
All my life I've loved taking photos, I was in the Royal Navy for 8 years and wanted to branch out to the photography side and did some work in Sierra Leone, flying in a helicopter with a Nikon!
So when I started having children all I wanted to do was capture all the memories, which led me to start photography because memories are everything! Babies are only so little for a short period of time and what better way to help other families capture those memories. My passion for photography grew and grew. I started out with a cheap camera from ebay just taking pictures of my twins to then venturing into the world of newborn photography. I've studied for hours upon hours getting it right, making sure I know the safe poses and how to do them safely, lighting techniques, props...I have a lot! wrapping...which believe it or not was so hard at first! I know people say I make it look easy! And still to this day, I'm still educating myself to give the best.
I am also a Breastfeeding peer supporter (Level 2 qualified) so always happy to help with with any breast feeding tips too!
I am a holder of several awards, including top 20 newborn photography of 2023 by Legacy Photography Awards, and many others in their sub categories, and i'm still aiming to get 1st place, But I'm happy with the several 2nd and 3rd places!

We offer maternity, newborn, baby, cake smash, family and pet photography, all in our beautiful purpose-built in our Tiverton, Devon studio. Outdoor family, portrait & pet sessions are also available at selected locations locally.
We recommend booking your newborn session during pregnancy to secure availability. The ideal time to photograph your baby is within the first three weeks after birth, although we can create beautiful portraits for older babies too.
Absolutely. We encourage the whole family to get involved. Parents and siblings are welcome in almost every session, creating timeless family photographs alongside individual portraits. Even bring the grandparents!
Yes. Our Devon studio is fully stocked with luxury props, wraps, blankets, outfits and accessories for babies and young children. We also provide guidance on what to wear so everyone looks their best for your family photos.
Absolutely. Kat, who is a mum of 6 & 2 of them are SEN children, works at your child's pace, allowing plenty of time for them to settle in. She really has a magical way with children. We never rush children and use play, conversation and gentle direction to capture natural smiles and genuine moments.
Yes! Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join all photography sessions. If you'd like to include your dog, just let us know when booking so we can plan your session accordingly.
